1994 was a remarkable year. When Jeeva was released that year nobody suspected it to be anything more than an ordinary movie, and there was no reason to predict why it would not succumb to what had become the fate of every Pakistani movie. The lead was given to couple of brand new actors (Babar Ali and Resham), who faced the camera along with the veterans like Nadeem(in the title role), Deeba, Ghulam Mohiyuddin, Neeli and Javed Sheikh. It was the first local movie in a number of years to boast of music that could compete with the best of the current Indian cinema, and photography that could be seen as real glamour. The man behind the show was the not-so-old storywriter turned director, Syed Noor.
